WHY YOUR HAPPINESS AND WELLBEING SHOULD BE YOUR TOP PRIORITY

Shoshin Therapies - Smile - Be Happy

As we slowly transition back to some semblance of normalcy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's natural to wonder what life will look like when this is all over. Will we go back to the way things were, or will we have learned something from this experience? The truth is, no one really knows what the future holds. But what we do know is that there's no better time than now to start dedicating time to developing our mindset and recognizing what truly matters in life.

Personally, I've spent a lot of time recently working on my mindset and identifying what is truly important to me. I've realized that my two core values are "Freedom" and "Happiness," and I make all my decisions based on those values.

Even when faced with the choice between security and freedom, I stick to my values.

Life is too short to live any other way.

The Importance of Developing Your Mindset

It's easy to get caught up in what we "should" be doing at certain points in our lives, but when we focus on what makes us happy day to day, we can truly start living.

After all, we only get one shot at this life. In this guise anyway. When I find myself making plans or contemplating a decision, I often ask myself what I would tell myself to do if I were on my deathbed. The number one regret of dying, according to the book "The Top Five Regrets of the Dying" by Bronnie Ware, is not having the courage to live a life true to oneself.

The reality is that life is fleeting, and we never know when our time will be up.

That's why it's so important to do what makes us happy and not be afraid to prioritize our own wellbeing. Sure, we might feel like we're letting others down at times, but if we can explain our thoughts and feelings, hopefully, they will understand.

Don't Let Fear Hold You Back

If you're feeling down or stuck in a rut, don't suffer alone. It's okay to ask for help and to prioritize your own mental health and wellbeing.

Find purpose in each day, and don't let fear hold you back from taking risks and embracing the unknown. We never know what the future holds, so make the most of each moment and prioritize your own happiness today.

Remember, nothing is promised, and each day is a gift.
